Various codes, along with the City of Latrobe Zoning Ordinance have been enacted to protect the health and safety of all persons living, working and visiting the City. Before any structure can be constructed, repaired, altered or demolished a permit must be obtained. Contact the Code Enforcement Officer for more information concerning specific permit application requirements and the applicable permit fee schedule for your construction project.

The Zoning Hearing Board authorizes departure from the terms of the Zoning Ordinance and permits an owner to “vary” from the regulations to complete their project. The Zoning Office handles Zoning Hearing Board applications.

The Planning and Development Department enforces Zoning, Subdivision and Land Developments, building, housing, demolition and such other related structural and land-use codes as may be enacted by law or ordinance.
