Code Enforcement & Zoning

The Code Enforcement/Zoning Office regulates the repair, construction, demolition and occupancy of all structures within the City of Latrobe and is responsible for the administration of the state building code, City ordinances, zoning, subdivision and land development. The Office fields complaints of property maintenance deficiencies of both residential and commercial properties, and issues building permits. The primary mission of the code enforcement office is to assure the health and welfare of the citizens of the City of Latrobe.

Coding/Zoning letter:
If you are requesting a code and zoning letter for closing, please submit a $25 check made payable to the City of Latrobe along with a return stamped envelope. 

The Code Enforcement/Zoning Office issues permits for the following:

  • Repair Permits
  • Zoning (including garages, fences and sheds)
  • Demolition
  • Sidewalks and curb cuts
  • Driveways
  • Street openings
  • Signage
  • Building Permits
In addition, the office administers the state UCC code. UCC permits are issued for residential, commercial and industrial additions and new construction, as well as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and swimming pools.
